Where Your Body Finds Answers

How much stomach acid does it take to digest a cheeseburger?  Or, how much calcium is needed to heal a broken leg?  How about a fever, how high should it reach to fight a common cold?  You don't need to surf Google for the answers, your INNATE search engine already knows.

If you doubt there's genius inside you, just consider this – the 50,000,000 cells in your body that will die while you read this sentence… your innate intelligence knows how to replace every single one of them.  The trillions of impulses coursing through your nerve system at this moment… innate is moving them at speeds approaching 248 mile per hour.  The number of heartbeats you'll get in your lifetime… innate reserved around 3 billion for you.

Google may be the web's leading source for information, but it's got nothing over your innate intelligence when it comes to keeping you alive and well. Innate has solutions to just about any health challenge you have.  All you have to do is search within to find the answer.

Your article is very interesting. I would say, it touches an interesting theory. Unfortunately I would have loved to read more. You said about the innate inteligence, but how does one use it? How does one use the search engine within?

Thanks for reading. I also thank Principle33 for providing the content of this blog post and creating the analogy of the healing processes of the body with internet search engines.

The amazing thing about innate intelligence, about the ability of the body to regulate and control its own organ processes: all this is done automatically. You don't have to consciously use it, at least not the way you use a tool. However, what you CAN do is make the circumstances right for the innate intelligence to be used to its full potential.

Here's a quick example: say you cut your finger. Before you even have to think about it, your body has already sprung into action to heal the cut. Platelets snap into place, white blood cells flood the area, inflammatory chemicals begin an intricate and perfectly choreographed process. Some days later, it will look as though you never even had a cut at all!

Your conscious mind had no part in this healing process. Your cells already knew what to do without your conscious direction. These mysterious and amazing processes are what we chiropractors call "innate intelligence", the intelligence necessary to accomplish this very specific tasks. I personally have no idea how breathe... but my body does. I have no idea how to force my heart to beat... but my body does. I have no idea how to control my blood pressure... but my body does. I have no idea how to send sugar through my cell membranes... but my body does.

Our goal is to allow the body to do what the body does best.

Sometimes, however, the body is prevented from setting these processes into motion. If there are problems in the nervous system, if inflammation is out of control elsewhere, if the neuroimmune system is otherwise occupied or inhibited, the healing processes of the body will be stunted.

That's why chiropractic focuses so strongly on the nervous sytem. The nerves control and regulate all other organ systems. If the nerves are communicating properly, we theorize, then all the subconscious, automatic, innate processes will be unhindered. True health relies on the body's ability to do what it does. Chiropractic attempts to restore the nervous system's ability to communicate, partially by maintaining the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems (a story for another day, perhaps!).

Thanks for your question! The short answer: to allow the search engine within to function at full capacity, give chiropractic a try!
