Private Insurance Companies
We are in contact with many insurance carriers to better assist you and make your office visits as effortless as possible. At every office visit, there will be a portion of the charge which will be covered by the insurance company (called the insurance-portion). The balance remaining after the insurance-portion is the patient's responsibility. We expect payment at the time of service for the portion that is estimated to be your responsibility.
We bill your insurance company electronically and promptly, so that you will receive your explanation of benefits in a prompt manner.

Cash Patients
Some patients do not have insurance coverage, but still need health care. Out of consideration for these patients, we keep our charges low and simple to understand. In addition, there is a percentage reduction if patients pay their full charge at the time of service.
Other patients may decide that it is to their benefit to pay the low time-of-service fee instead of waiting for the insurance company to provide the insurance-portion. We are able to keep the time-of-service fee affordable because of the reduced time and overhead costs saved by not contacting the third-party payer.

Medicare
We accept assignment for all Medicare patients. We abide by Medicare laws and rules, and electronically submit your claims promptly to Medicare and any secondary insurance company or Medigap insurer.
It is currently not legal for Medicare patients or chiropractors to "opt out" of Medicare when billing or paying for chiropractic care. This means that Medicare must be billed for chiropractic adjustments rendered in our office, even if the patient chooses to pay the entire fee at the time of service. In this case, if Medicare pays an insurance-portion, then the patient will be refunded the balance.

Medicaid and the Medical Card
We keep costs low for all patients. Medicaid has recently ruled that chiropractic care for adults will no longer be covered, so we are sensitive to keep your charges as low as possible for all other services and treatments. We do not provide unnecessary treatments. In addition, you may qualify for a special financial hardship discount. We are proud to continue to be a health care resource for medical card patients.
