As we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, we participate in the excellent tradition of remembering all our blessings. Especially when we have been impacted personally by tragedy or misfortune in this year, we are reminded of the two most fundamental blessings: life and health. Without life and health we'd have nothing to be thankful for! This year (and every year), I'm thankful for the extraordinary healing art that we call chiropractic. And here's why: I'm thankful that the human body can heal itself.
I'm thankful that the chiropractic profession provides a drug-free environment to healing. I'm thankful that the chiropractic profession provides a non-surgical way to heal. I'm thankful that drugs and surgeries exist to help people with very serious conditions. I'm thankful that chiropractic adds nothing to the human body, and subtracts nothing from the human body. I'm thankful that joint motion, exercise, and dietary changes are such accessible ways to promote health. I'm thankful that the chiropractic adjustment provides specific motion to help joints, nerves, and muscles. I'm thankful that healing and caring is enhanced by human touch. I'm thankful that chiropractic is a hands-on science. I'm thankful that the science of chiropractic is supported by so much research. I'm thankful that the art of chiropractic is supported by so many dedicated chiropractors. I'm thankful that the philosophy of chiropractic is supported by so many positive results. I'm thankful that I was treated with chiropractic care as a child. I'm thankful that my chiropractic parents always said "Sit up straight" and "Watch your posture!" I'm thankful that the Activator Methods technique works for every body. I'm thankful that the Activator Methods technique is low force. I'm thankful that the Activator Methods technique is noninvasive. I'm thankful that the Activator Methods technique is safe for babies and senior citizens and everyone in between. I'm thankful that the Activator Methods technique exists. I'm thankful that the Webster technique has proven to be so helpful for pregnant women and babies. I'm thankful that there's a drug-free way to relieve and prevent headaches. I'm thankful that there's a drug-free way to relieve and prevent neck pain. I'm thankful that there's a drug-free way to relieve and prevent low back pain. I'm thankful that so many people have discovered this way to relieve and prevent neck and low back pain. I'm thankful that spinal decompression can help with disc problems and pain. I'm thankful that cold laser therapy can help decrease healing times. I'm thankful that chiropractic adjustments work for extremities. I'm thankful that there's a non-invasive way to help prevent ear infections. I'm thankful that chiropractic can help people with scoliosis and sciatica and fibromyalgia and plantar fasciitis and torticollis and whiplash and degenerative disc disease and sprained ankles and piriformis syndrome and upper crossed syndrome and jaw pain and disc herniations and so many other conditions. I'm thankful that I can advise people on the best way to live life to the full. I'm thankful that I can participate in healing. I'm thankful that I can participate in the chiropractic profession. I'm thankful for chiropractic.
