You may have heard that a new private contractor has been chosen by the federal government to handle all Medicare claims for Illinois. This is true: on September 7, the current contractor, WPS (Wisconsin Physician Services) will turn over claim processing to NGS (National Government Services).
What does this mean for you? Hopefully, nothing at all! Johnson Family Chiropractic will continue to submit your Medicare claims to the appropriate contractor. The change is planned to be seamless. Your claims will not be interrupted and you shouldn't even notice a difference. If any unforeseen events occur with the transition, we'll be right on top of it!
