Media Highlights Chiropractic Safety and Role

11/27/2012

About a month ago, I mentioned an important paper on the relative safety of chiropractic for spinal health care from the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress. This paper describes the proper role of chiropractors in health care, urging all people to try safe and non-invasive chiropractic care before attempting invasive techniques such as steroid injections or surgery.

Well, it looks like I'm not alone!

Chiropractic Economics is reporting that major media outlets all over the country are reporting and focusing on this paper as well:

The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the value of chiropractic care, recently issued a position paper, “A Safer Approach to Long-term Relief from Back Pain:  Understanding the role of chiropractic care as the first option in providing drug-free, non-invasive effective back pain management,” that has resulted in significant media coverage. The Baltimore Sun first reported the paper’s conclusion in a front-page article Nov. 5, 2012, followed by numerous syndicated versions within one week in high-profile media outlets in 12 states, including Chicago Tribune, Sun Herald, The Olympian, The Bellingham Herald, Centre Daily Times, Bradenton Herald, ArcaMax, The Sacramento Bee, Anchorage Daily News, Leader-Telegram, The Tribune, and Sentinelsource.com.

“This paper is designed to help Americans discover chiropractic care as the preferred first option for addressing back pain,” says Kent S. Greenawalt, chairman, F4CP.  “As the public begins to re-examine the safety of more commonly used invasive care approaches, chiropractic care becomes an attractive conservative, drug-free, evidence-based choice.  Accompanied by our advertising campaign in USA Today and The Wall Street Journal, the goal is to encourage individuals to try chiropractic before undergoing invasive surgery, taking prescription medications or epidural steroid injections.”

Chiropractic is safe, effective, and non-invasive. Chiropractors do not put anything into your body, nor remove anything from your body. Chiropractors attempt to help your body to heal itself naturally, the way it always has done before. Chiropractors restore the proper conditions in your body for self-healing. Give chiropractic a try!

The Activator Methods technique is also a wonderful example of the safety of the chiropractic adjustment, especially when compared to invasive spinal procedures such as epidural steroid injections. The patient lies comfortably on a table without having to twist or contort their body, while the doctor examines them for neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction. This analysis is excellent, accurate, and has been refined over many years. The adjustment itself is delivered in a consistently controlled manner and environment, with your safety and well-being in mind.

All chiropractic adjustments are safe when delivered by a licensed chiropractor. The Activator Methods analysis and adjustment simply takes that safety to a whole new level. Stop by today for a demonstration of the Activator Methods analysis and adjustment method!
