Many young people are about to embark on their first year of college! This is an exciting and yet nerve-wracking season, preparing to be responsible away from home for the first time. If there's any one piece of advice that chiropractors can give to college freshman (besides sit up straight at your desk, like any student should), it is to exercise. There's a reason that young people fear the dreaded "Freshman 15", referring to the fifteen pounds that many college freshmen gain during their first year of college. The added stress of college, the availability of food, and a lack of exercise can cause added weight faster than you can say "Health Care 101".
