This is a great time of year, and the Thanksgiving weekend is many people's favorite holiday because it celebrates all the best things in the life. My family has had a tradition of each person around the Thanksgiving dinner table mentioning something that they are thankful for. My simple answer? I'm thankful for chiropractic.
I'm thankful that chiropractic helps bodies heal.
I'm thankful that chiropractic is a drugless way to help bodies heal.
I'm thankful that the chiropractic profession exists, with outstanding doctors and clinicians and world-renowned professors and researchers.
I'm thankful that, through the chiropractic profession, I have been able to come to know so many wonderful people here in Peoria, IL, and throughout the central Illinois region.
What are you thankful for?
Thanks to all the veterans of our armed forces here in Peoria and in America. Thanks for all of your service, sacrifice, patriotism, and love of our country. We would not be able to enjoy our freedom without the self-giving of so many of you men and women. It is highly appropriate that we remember veterans in the same month that we celebrate Thanksgiving: the two holidays are closely linked in my mind. So, again, a great big "Thank you" to all our local Peoria and Illinois veterans.
And a special thanks goes out to those veterans who are patients here at Johnson Family Chiropractic of Peoria. We're honored to be able to serve you in return!

Normally we don't just copy other bloggers' entries, but Debbie Adlof at CW Notes has the following interesting bulletin for Peoria residents to improve the local community:
Peoria, IL – The City of Peoria is encouraging residents to sign up for Nextdoor, a free neighborhood networking site that allows neighbors to connect on issues ranging from lost dogs and break-ins to neighborhood social events. Nextdoor is partnered with cities across the Country to encourage communication that can lead to improved neighborhood relations and overall safety. Over twenty neighborhoods within Peoria are already established on the Nextdoor site. A short video which details the benefits of Nextdoor can be viewed at the following link: http://vimeo.com/59427424/. Nextdoor was created to ensure private communication within a neighborhood. All members must verify their addresses, and all information shared on the site is accessible only to verified members of that neighborhood.
